Day 01 - Arrive in Siem Reap

 

Upon arrival, when you leave the airport terminal please look for a tour guide displaying a welcome signboard with your name on it. Transferring (approx. 30mins) to your hotel for check-in and relax. 

 

This afternoon, visit the Roulous temple group, the oldest Khmer monuments in the area. Witness the evolution of these magnificent temples from the early days of the Khmer empire up to its peak with the Angkor temples in the 13th century. You will peacefully explore the temples and soak up the local atmosphere away from the crowds.

Day 02 - Siem Reap

 

After breakfast, drive to the stunning royal city Angkor Thom. Continue your exploration by visiting the stunning Bayon temple, then you will walk through to the three-tiered temple mountain of Baphuon temple within the Royal Palace enclosure that connects with the Elephant Terrace, Phimaanakas Temple and finishing at the Terrace of the Leper King


This afternoon, visit to one of the wonders of the modern world, the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat. You will be led by a Cambodian scholar who will help you to get a better understanding of Khmer history, culture, archaeology and civilization. 

 

This evening, have a simple home-cooked dinner with a typical Khmer family and interact with family members. 

Day 03 - Siem Reap

 

Drive about 45-minutes to the countryside to visit a local sleepy village. Then, board a local boat for a 1.5-hour ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, also known as the Great Lake of Cambodia. Find out how communities live and work on the lake; see the floating schools, markets, and police stations, and observe their daily lives. Drive back to Siem Reap for relax


Mid-afternoon, visit an orphanage center and interact with the monks and children and learn about their lives, the challenges they have overcome and their future aspirations. Enjoy a beautiful Khmer dance performance by the children, visit their vegetable garden and if you like, teach them a song in your own language. 

Day 04 - Siem Reap / Phnom Penh

 

Take the morning flight to Phnom Penh. 


This afternoon, start your journey with a visit The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, two of the most striking buildings in the capital and considered as some of the finest examples of Khmer architecture. Then, visit Wat Preah Keo Morokat, where Royal ceremonies are performed. Continue to visit the Russian market and end the trip with a visit of the Wat Phnom Temple, Phnom Penh’s namesake, from where you can enjoy views over the tree-lined avenues of Phnom Penh during sunset.

Day 05 - Phnom Penh

 

Morning, take a 45mins drive to visit a local pagoda in Kandal province where you will have opportunity interacting with the local monks about their religious path and daily life. 


After the visit, continue to drive to a local village nearby where you will participate in an opening ceremony of a water pump, a kind gesture of your generosity to the local people. 

Day 06 - Phnom Penh departure via flight

 

Check-out of your hotel no later than 12:00 noon and transfer (approx. 30mins) to the airport for your onward flight to next destination or returns your home.
